This year has raced by so fast with the shop and developing the bike in readiness for the races in NZ .

Any way it should be there now and with the expert advise and help from the staff  of Cargo Transport System  and their friends at Bernard International in Auckland NZ my bike will be well  looked after .

From there Allan Willacy ( Cemetery Circuit ) and Blain from Hookers Transport NZ will sort out the transportation from Auckland to Wanganui . These guys do a great job and take a lot of the worry out of moving the crate about .

This year it seems we have a few extra Aussies going over to compete at the Suzuki Tri Series so I’m sure they will all be going hard at it for a good result .

The Cemetery Circuit event held on Boxing is a great day of racing with many smiling faces enjoying themselves , hope this year the weather is more understanding .

This year we will be trying to improve on last years placing of 5th in the BEARS class on board the might Aprilia Super Moto bike.

One week after we will be heading to Nelson to compete in the Port Nelson Street Race 2014 .

This is another one of those fantastic events where the people watching the racing  have as much fun as the races themselves .

I will be racing in the S1 Super Moto Class again this year and will be hoping to re-produce a 1st place finish again this time , but I know those kiwi boys will be putting on the pressure this time round for sure.

After the unfortunate weather at Wanganui  for the 2012 Cemetery Circuit Street Races we spent the next day drying out all the gear and packing to head toward Nelson  ..  We had been told Nelson would be dry so we were looking forward to that  ..  Arriving at Picton to some overcast weather we were on our way to Nelson  hoping for good weather  ..  Yep , for sure it was WET !!!!  ..  Oh well we had a few days to bum around and prey for sun  ..  Race day came to an overcast sky and plenty of wind , but it wasnt wet   ..  As per the previous race in Wanganui i was able to get some Newbys laps in just to make sure i didnt get confused and go the wrong way  ..  Pasted that test ,  so onto the racing  ..  No qualifying done here , so based on last years performance is about where you grid up this year using the progessive grid system  ..  So where did that leave me you may ask ?  ..  Well that was a fare way back , i think they call it LAST  !!    ..  But i was just stoked to be there so anywhere on the track would have put a grin on my face  ..  As the the flag fell and i watched the field at the front start to get smaller it was on , time to start chasing  ..  Anyway at the end of the 6 laps , i think it was 6 ?  i finished with a 2nd place behind the flying legend Josh Coppins  ..  So next time out i had a much better view form the front row , i did like it better up there   ..  After getting totally blown away off  the start line i had plenty of work to do again  ..  Those guys have some real fast bikes !!  .. Anyway finishing 1st was great  for me as it evened up the points with Josh  ..  Start of  Race 3 was just like the others the poor ole Aprilia just didn’t have the Neddie’s , but after much pushing i found my place at the front and rode to the chequered flag first  .. That gave me the S1 championship for 2013  .. Well what can say !!  ..  Everything was just going so well and to plan , something had to give   ..  We arrived in Wanganui  on the 19th after a couple of plane flights  ..  One was noticeably bigger than the other  , and even that was good much to my nervous stomachs delight  ..  We got picked up from the people we were staying with and taken to our new digs ..  And i must say the place was great  ..  Would recommend it to anyone  ..  Next morning i was off to collect the hire van and straight around to unpack my beloved Aprilia  ..  Turned up and saw the organisers and  crew of the Cemetery Circuit  team a brief chat and it was time to see the crate  ..  Blaine from Hookers Transport had it sitting in his warehouse just waiting  ..  A quick look around the crate , all looking good  ..  Time to open it up  ..  So as we do back home we had to crack a beer first  ..  Now time to open up  ..  As we unbolted the sides thing were looking good , everything where it should be and nothing broken  ..  Big smiles all round    ..  Loaded up and we were off  ..  A general check over and refitting a few parts it was time to start the Rex up  ..  All good !!  ..  More big smiles  ..  Time to relax now  ..  Christmas day was good plenty to eat and drink as usual ..  Unlike last year , but that’s  another story  ..  Scrutineering on Christmas day and put the tent for the next day  ..  All done  ..  Now the weather was starting to look a bit sketchy so i was hoping for no rain on race day  ..  Woke on Boxing day morning looked out side to see overcast day and no rain  ..  Yes i thought today will be a good day  ..  Got to the track set up only to have a big dark rain cloud come over Wanganui  ..  Now this wasn’t what i had hoped  ..  This is where things didn’t go to plan    .. Wet track / Dry track  that was the scene for the day  ..  I went out on the Virgins laps with all the other newbies , apart from being wet and a totally new track ( Street )  it was a heap of fun  ..  I qualified well ,  4th on the front row , this was the only time i got to use slicks all day  ..  The first i went out on wets and found the track to be dry so that made for an interesting race  ..  Finished 5th so i was grateful for that ..  Unfortunately that was the last race for me as our next one last cancelled due to unsafe track conditions  ..  The track crews worked hard at clearing water away form the race line to keep things going but it just wasn’t possible  ..  The time i spent in Wanganui was well worth the trip and I’m hoping to be there again this year as these guys really love there street racing and its a credit to them for all the  work they put in to make it happen  ..  I would like to that the people who have made it possible for me to get there for this meeting  ..
