Tyres for Bikes  -  Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make an appointment?

We appreciate that you make an appointment because then we can guarantee that we are having your tyres ready. However, we have fitters available if you just call in or have to make an emergency stop.

How long will I have to wait to have my tyres fitted?

Depending on the type of bike, generally between 30 to 45 minutes. We have a lounge facility in our shops so you can read a magazine or chat to fellow riders while you wait.

How much is the fitting cost?

If you bring us your loose wheels and buy the tyre of us, fitting will be free of charge. Otherwise the fitting prices depend on the bike.

What pressure should I run?

Pressure varies from bike to bike and the use of the bike. We will advise you the best pressure for your machine and your riding style (track, road, touring, offroad, motocross, adventure, etc.).

Do you balance my wheels?

Yes, we balance all road wheels front and rear and will advise for offroad.

Can I mix brands for front and rear?

Depending of the construction on the tyre it is possible, but please talk to our professional staff about this.

Are my knobbies road legal?

Depending on the D.O.T.-specification and load-and-speed-index.

I am going on a track day, will my tyres be ok?

It is best to have your tyres be inspected. Please talk to our staff who have the race experience and credentials.

Can I mix tyres with different constructions?

The construction of these tyres can cause some handling problems if mix matched incorrectly. Please talk to our staff for possible combinations.
