FAQ
Got Tyre Questions? We Have Answers.
Our Frequently Asked Questions
Should I book an appointment?
While we always appreciate scheduled appointments, we have fitters available for last-minute drop-ins and tyre emergencies.
How long will I have to wait to have my tyres fitted?
Depending on the type of motorcycle you have, there’s generally a wait of between 30 to 45 minutes. We have a lounge facility in our shop so you can read a magazine or chat with fellow riders while you wait.
How much does a fitting cost?
If you bring us your loose wheels and buy tyres from us, fitting is free of charge. If you have your own tyres that need fitting or want to bring us the whole motorcycle, give us a ring for a free quote.
What pressure should I run?
Pressure varies from bike to bike, and where and how you’ll be using the tyres. On road, off road, sand vs. gravel… But advice is free, so stop in or give us a ring and we’ll give you a run-down for your specific bike and needs.
Do you balance wheels?
Yes, we balance all road wheels and will advise for off-road motorcycle use.
Can I mix brands for front and rear tyres?
Depending on the construction of the tyre, it’s possible. Come talk to our professional staff and we’ll be able to give you a definite answer depending on what you’re currently running or planning.
Are my knobbies road legal?
Probably, depending on the D.O.T specifications and load-and-speed-index.
I am going on a track day. Will my tyres be okay?
It is best to have your tyres inspected. Please talk to our staff members, who have the race experience and credentials to give you the right answers. When in doubt, seek advice!
Can I mix tyres of different construction?
The construction of tyres can cause some handling problems if mixed and matched incorrectly. Please talk to our staff about possible combinations.
